Know Before You Go

Beginning Thursday, 11 September through Sunday, 14 September, 2025, the flight line on Ramstein Air Base becomes a paradise for shoppers. During these three days, the massive hangar houses more than 100 merchandise vendors from all over the world. Featuring beautiful, handcrafted goods, wines, jewelry, art, pottery, woodcrafts, furniture and carpets, there is something for everyone! Here are a few things you need to know before you go…

Where is the Bazaar located?
The Ramstein Bazaar is located on the Ramstein Air Base flight line and in adjacent hangars (Hangar 1 on the right and Hangar 2 on the left).  There will be signs throughout Ramstein AB directing you to the Bazaar grounds and to the designated parking area.

What are the days and times of the Bazaar?
Friday, 12 September, 1000 – 2000 (stroller day)
Saturday, 13 September, 1000 – 2000
Sunday, 14 September, 1000 – 1700

Do you have a list of the vendors that will be participating in the Bazaar?
We will have more than 100 vendors and 29 private organizations selling delicious food items all in one Bazaar location.  You will be able to easily shop for holiday presents, find favorite items from our returning vendors, and discover new favorites from the new vendors during the course of this four-day event. Our full vendor list is also available here.

Who can attend the Bazaar?
Everyone who has base access is welcome to visit the Bazaar. However, only DoD and NATO ID card holders with SOFA status can make purchases. Be advised - an ID will be required at point of purchase.

What types of payment are accepted?
Credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, and American Express) are all accepted forms of payment for merchandise vendors.  Checks are No Longer accepted at the Bazaar. US dollars will be accepted at the Food Vendor court. One ATM will be on-site, but its advised to bring cash with you for the food court.

Are pets allowed?
Any pets of any kind, size, or type are strictly prohibited from the Bazaar. Any visitors found with a pet will immediately be removed by security forces. Service animals are welcomed if they are required for a person with a disability.

Can I take pictures or video footage?
Given the strict security guidelines for the flight line, no pictures or video footage of any kind are allowed at the Bazaar. Individuals caught taking photographs or recording while at the Bazaar will be immediately removed from the Bazaar by security forces. Please be advised that select media or Bazaar committee members have security clearance to take photographs which has been obtained ahead of time through proper channels.

Are strollers allowed?
Friday is designated as our official Stroller Day and strollers will be allowed inside the shopping area. On Saturday and Sunday, due to the increase in crowds, shoppers will not be allowed to bring strollers into the Hangars. There will be designated stroller parking areas outside of the Hangar doors. Strollers are allowed on the outdoor Bazaar Grounds (food court area) on all days.

Will there be a nursing area and/or diaper changing facilities on the grounds?
Yes, there will be a family care station within hangar 1, please ask a Red Shirt for assistance.  

When is the Red Carpet Shopping event and how can I be invited?
The Red Carpet Shopping Volunteer Appreciation event will be held on Thursday, September 11, from approximately 1800 until 2000. Simply sign up for a volunteer shift or combination of volunteer shifts totaling at least 4 hours, and/or donate 5 dozen baked goods, for an opportunity to be invited. 

Food court vendors accept only US dollars.  There will be an ATM onsite but long lines can form – especially around lunch hours. Individuals coming to the Bazaar to enjoy lunch at the food court (great idea!) are encouraged to bring US cash with them as the food vendors do not accept any other form of payment.

Yes, but to avoid lines, bring cash! We will have an ATM on site, but long lines could form – especially around lunch hours. If you are coming to the Bazaar to enjoy lunch at the food court, you are encouraged to bring US cash as vendors in the food court do not accept any other form of payment. The closest off-site ATMs is located at the KMCC. Other ATMs are located within the E-Club, the commissary, and at the post offices. 

How can my organization apply for the community funds earned during the Bazaar?
All of the proceeds from the Ramstein Bazaar go back to the Kaiserslautern Military Community! Applications open at various times throughout the year.

In 2024 over $211,000 was given to organizations in the KMC.
